Biography
Matsuda Kyotei (1887-1965)
Born in Aichi Prefecture. Real name, Jotaro.
Studied Nanga under Kyosai Oda.
After moving to Tokyo, he studied under Ikegami Shuho.
Kyotei was mainly known as a master of Koi-ga (carp painting), and excelled in depicting carp full of life.
His seal name is "Kyotei" or "Gessui-doshu".
