Biografie
Ogura Gyoka (1876-1957)
Geboren 1876 in Takahashi (Takahashi City, Okayama Präfektur).
Sein richtiger Name ist Zenzaburo. Sein Pseudonym ist Gyoka.
Zu seinen Aliase gehören Shofu, Hakukin, Dankei, Sozan, Sozan und Bogyu-Sanso-Shujin.
Studierte unter Kawabata Gyokusho an der Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (jetzt Tokyo University of the Arts) japanisches Gemälde an der Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Musiko.
Er gründete seinen eigenen Malstil.
Gyoka hinterließ viele traditionelle und einfache Werke.
Er verbrachte den größten Teil seines Lebens in Takahashi.
