【Biografie】
Kato Sesso (1872-1918)
1872 (Meiji 5) - 1918 (Taisho 7)
Geboren in Honjo City, Präfektur Akita.
Sein Vorname war Tatsuya. Sein Pseudonym war Bunkyo.
Das Pseudonym ist Sesso, Zoro-Ken, Tatsubunkyo.
Studierte im Alter von 10 Jahren Gemälde unter Komuro Hidetoshi.
Studierte Kalligraphie unter Okoshi Kanseki.
1896 untersuchte Hashimoto Gaho.
Ausstellungen (Kyoshinkai) verliehen viele Preise.
In späteren Jahren ging er zum Manpuku-Ji-Tempel der őbaku-Sekte des Zen-Buddhismus und ließ viele Werke im őbaku-Stil zurück.
Nach dem Tod seines Meisters Gaho kehrte er nach Sakata (Präfektur Yamagata) zurück, um seine Malkarriere zu verfolgen.
Er starb 1918 im Alter von 47 Jahren.
【Hauptbedeutung】
Zwei legendäre Poet-Monks der Tang-Dynastie, China. Beide sollen die weltliche Welt mit ihren vielen Exzentrizitäten überschritten und viele Gedichte geschrieben haben. Das Bild von Kanzan, der eine Sutra -Schriftrolle und Jittoku eröffnet, die einen Besen hält, ist Gegenstand eines Zen -Gemäldes.
