Biografie
Takashima Hokkai (1850-1931)
Japanischer Maler der Meiji- und Taisho -Perioden.
1850 in Nagato (Präfektur Yamaguchi) geboren.
Richtiger Name war Tokuzo.
Selbstgewertet in der Malen von in jungen Jahren.
Studiert in der Ecole Des Forestes de Nancy in Frankreich.
Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Japan wurde er Forstbeamter, ging aber 1899 in den Ruhestand.
Wurde Bergmaler und gewann Preise bei der Industrial Exposition und anderen Ausstellungen in Tokio.
Er diente als Richter für die Bunten -Ausstellung.
Er starb 1931 im Alter von 82 Jahren.
