平常心 Byo-jo-shin…The usual natural mind.

是道 zedo…Meaning that it is this way.

※It means that the ordinary and natural mind is the way. 
The path is not something special, it is nothing more than the everyday life of walking, 
staying, sitting, and sleeping.
The mind in the present moment, without adding anything to it, free of judgments about right and wrong or choice of what to do or not to do, is the path to enlightenment.
This is a famous phrase that has become the basis for the philosophy of Zen.
Sen Rikyu said, "Know that chanoyu is nothing more than the act of making hot water 
and drinking tea."

Biography

Nakahara Nantenbou (1839-1925)

Rinzai Zen priest of the late Edo and Taisho periods.
Born in Tenpo 10, Hizen Matsuura-gun (Saga Prefecture).
His Buddhist name was Zenchu. His nickname was Toshu. Also known as Hakkeikutsu.
He succeeded to the Dharma of Rasan Genma.
He spread the Zen style based on the doctrine of "Jikishin Soku Dojo" (one's own mind, one's own dojo).
He served as abbot of Zuigan-ji Temple in Matsushima and Kaisei-ji Temple in Nishinomiya.
He held his own funeral service in 1917.
He died in 1925 at the age of 87.
