Biografia
Kawabata Gyokusho (1842-1913)

Tempo 13 (1842) - Taisho 2 (1913)
Era un pittore giapponese attivo nell'era Meiji.
All'età di 11 anni, entrò nella scuola di Nakajima Raisho e in seguito studiò sotto Oda Kaisen.
Ha anche ammirato Maruyama Okyo ed è diventato una figura di spicco della moderna scuola di Maruyama.
Era professore alla Tokyo Fine Arts School e istituì la Kawabata School of Art e promosse la prossima generazione di artisti,
ed è stato elogiato insieme al suo collega Hashimoto Gaho.
