IMAO KEINEN (1845-1924)
1845 (Koka 2) - 1924 (Taisho 13)
Geboren in Kyoto, Japan. Zijn jeugdnaam was Isaburo, zijn voornaam was Eikan en zijn achternaam was Shiyu.
Het pseudoniem is Ryujiraku, Yoso-Sai. Werkte als tekenaar voor het Yuzen Dyeing-bedrijf van zijn familie.
Studeerd onder Ukiyoe -artiesten Umekawa Tokyo en Suzuki Hyakunen.
Werd een professor in opdracht aan de Kyoto Prefectural School of Painting in 1888.
Hij won de tweede prijs op de nationale industriële tentoonstelling in 1895 en ontving de zilveren medaille op de Paris International Exposition in 1900.
In 1904 werd hij een imperiale huishoudkunstenaar en lid van de Imperial Art Academy.
Hij ontving veel prijzen bij binnenlandse en internationale exposities voor zijn uitstekende talent in bloem- en vogelschilderkunst.
Hij was een belangrijke figuur in de Kyoto -kunstwereld, de traditie van de Shijo -school erfde en wijdde zich aan de training van toekomstige generaties.
Stierf in 1924 op 79 -jarige leeftijd.

Japanse schilder. Geboren in Kyoto. Geadopteerde zoon van de Japanse schilder Imao Keinen.
Geboren in Kyoto. Afgestudeerd aan het Kyoto Municipal College of Painting. Studeerde schilderen onder Keinen.
Heeft Fusuma -schilderijen (schuifdeur) geschilderd voor tempels en is verschillende keren aan het keizerlijke huishouden gepresenteerd.
Een onafhankelijke kunstenaar. Stierf in 1993 op 91 -jarige leeftijd.
