Shojo is a fairy who likes to drink. It is an imaginary monster that resembles a monkey and is said to live under the sea. He had been buying liquor from a filial man named Kohu in China, and when Kohu came to the sea to visit Shojo, he told him how happy he was to meet him, and they drank and danced together. Shojo praised Kohu for his honesty of heart and gave him a pot from which a never-ending spring of sake gushed. Although it happened in Kohu's dream, the sake jar remained intact and Kohu's house prospered for a long time.
