Biographie
Ogura Gyoka (1876-1957)
Né à Takahashi (ville de Takahashi, préfecture d'Okayama) en 1876.
Son vrai nom est Zenzaburo. Son nom de stylo est Gyoka.
Ses alias incluent Shofu, Hakukin, Dankei, Sozan, Sozan et Bogyu-Sanso-Shujin.
A étudié la peinture de style japonais à l'Université nationale de beaux-arts et de musique de Tokyo (maintenant Université des Arts de Tokyo) sous Kawabata Gyokusho.
Il a établi son propre style de peinture.
Gyoka a laissé de nombreuses œuvres traditionnelles et simples.
Il a passé la majeure partie de sa vie à Takahashi.
