Biography
Ido Masao (1945-2016)

Born in 1945.
In 1960, he moved to Kyoto City and studied under Koho Yoshida, a traditional craftsman (dyeing artist), from the following year.
He began working on woodblock prints in 1972.
Since then, he has held exhibitions in department stores and galleries in Japan, as well as in New York, Chicago, Vancouver, France, Switzerland, Australia, China, and Thailand.
His works are in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in the United States and several cities in Japan and abroad.
Based on the traditional Japanese ukiyoe technique, he prints woodblock prints more than 20 times to complete a work.
He produces emotionally rich landscape works of the four seasons.
