【Biographie】
Oda Kaisen (1785-1862)
Peintre de la fin de la période Edo.
Né à Tonomi, Saba-gun, province Suo (Tonomi actuelle, ville de Hofu, préfecture de Yamaguchi).
Adopté par la famille ODA, Dyer à Akamaseki, province de Nagato (maintenant la ville de Shimonoseki, préfecture de Yamaguchi).
Son nom était Rui (羸) et Ei (瀛). Appelé kyokai. Également connu sous le nom de Ryohei. Appelé Nanpo, Hyakkoku, O-Rui et Kaisen.
A déménagé à Kyoto et a étudié sous Matsumura Goshun de l'école Shijo. Après avoir étudié sous Rai Sanyo, il est passé à Nanga.
Caractérisé par son style propre, il était particulièrement bon dans les portraits.
En 1824, il a été convoqué par le domaine Hagi en tant que peintre et est arrivé à Edo.
À partir de 1826 (9e année de Bunsei), il a de nouveau travaillé à Kyoto.
Il a étudié les peintures anciennes des dynasties Yuan et Ming en Chine.
Il a établi son propre style de peinture sud à Kyushu et était en contact avec Kan Chazan et d'autres.
Décédé en 1862 (Bunkyu 2) à l'âge de 78 ans.
