【Biographie】
Takaku Aigai (1796-1843)
Né en 1796 (Kansei 8) - 1843 (Tempou 14)
Peintre de la fin de la période Edo.
Né à Shimotsuke, préfecture de Tochigi.
Étudié sous Tani Buncho.
Il était un grand admirateur d'Ike Taiga, étudiant les peintures en yuan et ming.
Il a créé son propre style de peinture littéraire.
Il a joué un rôle déterminant à la rescousse de Watanabe Kazan, qui a été emprisonné dans la prison de Bansha.
Décédé à Tempou 14 à l'âge de 48 ans.
Son nom était Chou. Ses surnoms étaient Enen et Shien.
Le nom commun était Shusuke.
Le pseudonyme est Aigai, Sekkutsu, Josho, Sekika-Gaku, Baisai, Sorin-Gaishi, Gaku-Baisai, Bansei-Sanbo, Akyu, etc.

Né à Echigo (préfecture actuelle de Niigata).
A étudié la peinture sous Fukushima Ryuho. Également connu sous le nom de Yohari.
【Signification principale】
Un passage d'un poème de Wang Wei. J'ai pataugé le long du bord de la montagne, et avant que je le sache, je suis arrivé au bout de la rivière. Je m'assois et regarde sans réfléchir les nuages monter. Il s'agit d'un poème sur l'état d'être à celui avec la nature dans un état d'apogée détendu. Il correspond au sentiment d'être dans une méditation zen profonde.
