Biography
Kano Tatsunobu (Eitoku) (1814-1891)

A painter during the late Edo and Meiji periods.
The 15th head of the Nakabashi Kano family.
Adopted son of the 14th head, Yusei Kuninobu, and the sixth son of the Kobikicho Kano family’s sixth generation, Isen-in.
His first name was Nobumitsu, childhood name Kumagoro, and his art names were Eitoku and Seisetsusai.
In Ansei 4 (1857), he was appointed Hogen.
After the Meiji Restoration, he held positions such as auditor of the Imperial Museum and became an Imperial Artist.
He died in 1891 at the age of 78.
