I don't know the details of the artist, but it is a heartwarming picture using mainly shades of ink.
The dead tree slightly behind the center, the chrysanthemums blooming around the horse, and the moon shining faintly in the sky indicate that this is an autumn landscape.
I think it would be difficult for a painter who is not used to working with ink to create this kind of lingering effect.
The painting is stained in places, and the binding is generally faded, but this is not a problem for viewing.
It is a work from around the beginning of the Showa period that creates a calm space.
