【Biography】
Suzuki Hyakunen(1825-1891)

Painter of the Shijo School. Born in Kyoto.
Japanese painter Suzuki Shonen is his son.
His name is Seju and his handwriting is Shiko.
The pseudonym is Daichin-ou,Dainen, etc.
Studied under Kishi Renzan.
Admired the painting styles of Yosa Buson, Goshun, and Hineno Taizan.
He formed his own family by blending various schools, and created a new school called the Suzuki School.
Among his students were Imao Keinen and Kubota Beisen.
Died in 1891 at the age of 67.

【Main Meaning】
Momotaro is a Japanese fairy tale.
It tells the story of "Momotaro", a boy born from a peach, who is given kibi dango by his grandfather and grandmother, and goes with a dog, a monkey and a pheasant to Onigashima to slay demons.
The story begins with the grandmother going to the river to wash clothes and the grandfather going to the mountains to cut bushes.
While Grandmother is washing clothes in the river, a big peach comes down from the river.
When she cuts the peach open to eat it, a healthy baby　boy (Momotaro) is born.
