【A word from the store】
The smoke from the mosquito coils is rising in the fire container inside Tabako-bon.
The season for using mosquito coils in Japan is summer. (Although electric ones are the norm nowadays.)
As Terukata's poem says, it must have been so hot that he wished for a rain.
This hanging scroll shows the atmosphere of the old days during the summer.
The signature of Kobori Tomoto reads "Kokusai".
This name does not appear in his biography, but since "Kobori Tomoto" is written in Chinese characters on his seal, it is likely that he used another name, Kokusai.

It has a very high quality cover. It was probably very well cared for by its former owner.

【Main Meaning】
The work of putting up the paper is all done, and it's hot, so I need a rain.I want a breeze to enjoy the fragrance of the incense.

Tabako-bon = a tobacco tray
