A word from the store
Spider threads on the basho and hangs downward.
The season is summer to early autumn.
It is not clear exactly what the title of this painting means.
However, the leaves of the basyo tree, which are easily torn by exposure to wind and rain, represent "mono no mercy," according to one theory.
Therefore, in haiku, it is the season word for early autumn, not summer.
The leaves of the basho, which look sturdy at first glance but are easily torn. And spider silk, which looks easy to break but is strong.
It is a subject that may give us many insights.
