Biography
Ogura Gyoka (1876-1957)

Born in Takahashi (Takahashi City, Okayama Prefecture) in 1876.
His real name is Zenzaburo. His pen name is Gyoka.
His aliases include Shofu, Hakukin, Dankei, Sozan, Sozan, and Bogyu-sanso-shujin.
Studied Japanese-style painting at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (now Tokyo University of the Arts) under Kawabata Gyokusho.
He established his own style of painting.
Gyoka left many traditional and plain works.
He spent most of his life in Takahashi.
